We love your birds, but please don't bring them to our meetings. We usually have a bird of the month already attending. Thanks!

Coming Events

We are entering our busy season and are really looking forward to the chili cook-off fundraising event and see what our members come up with for entries.

The months to come are also going to be extremely busy with education, projects, our annual picnic and yard sales . We really hope to see some new volunteers and continue growing our membership.

Our club is gearing up for our fundraising activities for the remainder of the year. We kick off with the Chili Feed and move into yard sale mode and finally our big fundraiser, the Seminar for 2008.

We have several potential speakers we will be sending invitations to and as soon as we know who will be able to come to Alaska and speak at our seminar we will make the information available on our web site and publish it in our newsletter.

We have several educational opportunities which present themselves every year. The next one coming up is the Reading Rendezvous. This event is always a lot of fun and volunteers, along with their birds, are encouraged to attend and help out at this event. If you are able to help out please contact Cindy Welbourne at 907- 357-2513 or Kathleen O’Keefe at 907-243-4675. Either one of them will be able to give you more information and sign you up for a time slot. Even if you are unable to spend much time with them, please do stop by and show your support.

This day is also Military Appreciation Day. Who knows, we may convince our birds to sport patriotic colors.
