Roll out Grandma’s recipe for those spaghetti sauce tantalizing tastes.

We have a lot of events planned through out the year, and it is amazing how quickly months pass.

Next month we will have photos to share with you from the Photo Contest, then photos of the Spaghetti Sauce contest, and many other events.

As we approach the summer season we will have an opportunity to continue our outreach and educational program at the Reading Rondezvous. This is always a fun event and we meet tons of folks that day.

Our adopt-a-bird program continues to be busy and we are always looking for people who want to help find new homes for birds who may otherwise “find themselves on the street.”

For anyone interested, I have Delta Society information here at the house and will be more than willing to pass information along to you.

I would like to thank all the active volunteers who assist us every month in many ways. Our programs would not be as successful as they are without their help.

Set a new goal for this year. Bring in one new member to TABC and help them learn how to enrich their lives as well as their birds’ lives.

Dr. Scott Ford, DMV will be back in Alaska accepting appointments. As soon as he sends me his schedule for this year I will let all of you know by placing an ad for him in our newsletter.

If you find interesting vendors in your search to find new ways to show off your birds, let us know. I am thinking of trying to find a button-making machine we could perhaps borrow and use at some of our meetings, seminar, or other events as a way to make money and share your birds’ without exposing them to untested birds. Let me know your thoughts on this, or if you have access to such a machine we would be able to use.

Prepare your flock for spring. Repair your screen windows, if you regularly trim wings, and your birds have been busy molting, now would be the time to take care of that. Contact Amber, she would rather trim wings than have to rescue your escapee.

See you at the meeting!

-- Kathleen O'Keefe, President
