Basket Toy

Materials Needed:

  • One stainless bell
  • Straws
  • Shredders
  • Chains
  • Beads
  • Wood
  • Jute Thread

Assemble all the pieces and tools needed. Low-cost baskets can be found at many second-hand stores. Look for an all natural basket with no laquer or dyes.

Make up three strings of assorted items and thread them through the basket. Add the stainless bell. Take the straws, squiggle several to add to the chains and then thread them through the basket. This is tons of fun and you get to practice your weaving techniques!

The finished product will look similar to this. There are no rules as to how it has to look when you are finished, especially if your bird helps you!
