We love your birds, but please don't bring them to our meetings. We usually have a bird of the month already attending. Thanks!

Paper Flower

This is a fun hanging toy that birds of all sizes will enjoy. It is easy to make and provides a fun shredding object to keep a parrot's brain and beak occupied.

Materials Needed:

  • Newspaper (the TV guide works well)
  • Three plastic "C" rings (found in the baby section of the store or second hand)

Instructions:

1. Clip the three plastic C rings together.

2. Take a page of the TV guide and fold the paper back and forth creating an accordion of paper. For best results begin folding from the shorter end of the paper.

3. Thread three of the sheets of folded paper through each of the bottom two "C" rings.

4. Fan the paper for the desired look.

5. Hang in cage or wherever and let your birds tear it up.
